Relay Publishing is looking for espionage thriller ghostwriters who want to earn a competitive, reliable income in a fun online working environment using their unique blend of storytelling prowess, tactical knowledge, love for research, and technical writing skills.

Necessary Skills & Experience

• A passion for espionage thriller and military action fiction, with deep familiarity with the genre’s conventions and reader expectations. 
• Genre Expertise: Understanding of espionage thriller tropes including burned assets, institutional conspiracies, tactical realism, anti-establishment themes, and righteous violence frameworks.
• Research Enthusiasm: Love of diving deep into military procedures, intelligence operations, weapons systems, and geopolitical contexts to create authentic operational elements while maintaining narrative accessibility for general audiences.
• Strong Narrative Ability: Expertise in crafting high-stakes plots with clear moral frameworks, escalating tension, and satisfying resolution of conspiracy elements. 
• Character Development: Ability to create competent, morally complex protagonists who embody the “burned asset” archetype while maintaining reader sympathy. 
• Dialogue Mastery: Craft authentic dialogue that reflects military/intelligence backgrounds without overwhelming civilian readers with jargon. 
• Procedural Authenticity: Balance technical accuracy in action sequences and investigation procedures with narrative momentum. 
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

• Technologically savvy in order to work with our project management software and Word!

• Deep knowledge of the espionage thriller genre is required—candidates should be familiar with bestsellers in the genre and ideally have experience writing or editing espionage thriller titles or series. 
• You understand the balance between tactical authenticity and narrative accessibility that the readership expects. 
• You are passionate about your craft and want to join a team of exceptional creatives who respect and celebrate the process of storytelling.
