Necessary Skills & Experience
- A strong interest—bordering on obsession—with the Medical Thriller and Medical Suspense
- Preferred: background or familiarity with medical/healthcare environments (e.g., doctors, nurses, paramedics, or medical researchers, ) to add authenticity and depth.
- Understanding of Medical Thriller tropes, such as high-stakes diagnoses, medical conspiracies, biotech experiments, or ethical dilemmas in healthcare.
- Strong narrative ability: expertise in crafting suspenseful, page-turning plots with escalating tension, clear stakes, and shocking twists.
- Character development: ability to create multidimensional protagonists and antagonists—doctors, nurses, patients, investigators, or villains—who grapple with psychological and ethical complexity.
- Dialogue mastery: ability to craft authentic and gripping conversations between medical professionals, patients, and adversaries.
- Research skills: capable of blending realistic medical/scientific detail seamlessly with fiction to create plausible yet thrilling scenarios.
