You love to roll up your sleeves and dig in on editing a book. You have an eye for detail and you aren’t afraid to do the hard edits needed to take a story from good to great.
You enjoy working with experienced writers who are eager for constructive criticism and to grow their craft. You want to work with a consistent team who creates engaging stories.
Editing is your passion, not searching for your next project, or managing the deadlines of creative talent. You want to jump into a story, not worry about when and how it’s going to end up on your desk.
We’re searching for talented developmental and line editors—must be able to do both—as well as eagle-eyed proofreaders.
How It WOrks
Our creative process is truly a collaboration and as a Relay editor your input will significantly shape the final story.
Once assigned to a project, you’ll either be giving feedback on an outline to develop the characters, plot and structure of a story, or digging into a manuscript to revise and enhance the story a writer has fleshed out.
You’ll work one-on-one with talented writers to support, critique and fine tune the story into something un-put-down-able!
